Angie Rhodes, DDS, PA

Originally from western North Carolina, Angie Rhodes received her Bachelor's degree in 1995 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in dental school, Dr. Rhodes took advantage of many opportunities including working at an orphanage in Mexico and a public health clinic in southern Russia. She also served as president of the Delta Sigma Delta dental service fraternity. Upon graduation, Dr. Rhodes completed a two-year associateship in Greenville, NC before opening her own practice in June 2001. She is married to Bob Rhodes, a native of Washington, NC. They are the proud parents of daughter Kennedy and are excitedly awaiting the arrival of a new baby in August 2008. Dr. Rhodes absolutely loves dentistry and continuously searches for the best courses nationwide to keep her skills updated. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the "W" group chapter of the Seattle Study Club. She is also Invisalign certified and looks forward to helping you with any of your dental needs.

Anne Hudson, Insurance Coordinator

Hi, my name is Anne Hudson and I have working as Dr. Rhodes’ office manager from the very first day she opened the practice in June 2001. I have been in the dental profession for 30 thirty years and absolutely love every aspect of it. My career has taken me from North Carolina to Alabama and back again. I have been so blessed with every “leg” of my journey as I do believe it has always prepared me for the next step and has made me a better person as well as a better employee. Dr. Rhodes is a great boss and a wonderful person to work with. As I will soon be reaching retirement, I can’t think of a better office in which to close my career. My life has truly been blessed. I have two wonderful children and a spectacular 16 year old granddaughter. My strength has always come from my faith in God and I give Him the praise, always keeping in mind this passage, “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.” Phil. 4;13.

Janet Lewis, Office Manager

I was born in Alabama, raised in the Midwest and spent the early years of my married life in the North. I know the difference in living somewhere and calling a place home. The past 12 years, I have been fortunate to live in Eastern North Carolina. It has been a place that I have spent most of my 20 years of marriage. My two children have grown up here. I am proud that North Carolina is now my home. The past two years, I have experienced the same path in my career. I have “worked in” the areas of education, management and accounting. But, I did not feel at home with my career until I met Dr. Angie Rhodes. She took me in and gave me such a wonderful opportunity to be a part of her dental practice. Now, for me, going to work is like going home.

Linda Sears, Patient Care Coordinator

I was born and raised in Forest City, North Carolina. Although I enjoyed my former careers as an accountant and teacher, I find my current job as Patient Care Coordinator the most rewarding of my life. I love helping patients feel at ease from the moment they call the office or walk in our front door. Dr. Rhodes believes that a trip to the dental office does not have to be uncomfortable and uptight, and it is my job to make sure your experience is a good one. I am the mother of two wonderful children--Casey, my son, lives in High Point with his wife Sarah and their beautiful son, Drew. I have the pleasure of working side by side with my daughter Angie (Dr. Rhodes) and enjoy having the opportunity to spend quality time with my granddaughter, Kennedy.

Patti Roades, Dental Hygienist

Newgulf, Texas is a privately-owned company town where I was born. There, I received a degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College. I have lived in North Carolina for 13 years, but Texas will always be home to me. My wonderful son and daughter-in-law as well as my sister and father all live there. I have tried my “hand” at a few other career choices including real estate and insurance but find dentistry to be much more rewarding. For enjoyment, I love to frequent the beaches along the Eastern Coast. Whenever I find the time to dance, I like to shag to beach music. I try to live life to its fullest. The older I get, the more I learn not to sweat the small stuff. My favorite thought anonymously stated is, “Dance like no one is watching; sing like no one is listening; love as if you have never been hurt; live everyday as if it were your last.”

Elizabeth Main, Dental Hygienist

I relocated to Eastern North Carolina in 2001, but did not begin working for Dr. Rhodes until January 2006. Originally from Greensboro, I graduated as a Dental Hygienist in June of 1994. Away from the office, I enjoy being mother to my beautiful son, Alex, who is nearly 3 years old. We spend a great amount of time traveling to visit friends and family. An anonymous quote that affords me great comfort and freedom is, “It is not where you were, nor what you were doing; it is where you are and what you are doing now.” With this, I find satisfaction in the accomplishments of others and of myself without the worry of what was left undone yesterday.

Lori Chrismon, Dental Assistant

My name is Lori Chrismon. I was born in Ohio and transplanted to Beaufort County at the age of four. I began my dental career as a senior in High School through a work-study program and although I have deviated over the years trying new things, I always make my way back to dentistry, finding that it is my “niche” in life. At this point, I know I have found my final resting spot with Dr. Angie. I have two children of whom I am very proud. My son is 21 years old and exploring the world as a United States Marine. He has served 3 active tours during his enlistment so far and has become very decorated in his dress blues. My daughter is 5 years old and my biggest challenge of my life. I give credit to my mother for this because she always said, “Some day you’ll have one just like yourself.” And since dealing with her is like looking in a mirror, it gets hard out-smarting her. My husband, William and I, reside in Bath, NC and enjoy watching our animals enjoy their lives. We currently have one dog, 4 cats, some fish and the promise of more. Life can’t get any better than this!

Norma Caton, Dental Assistant

When I joined Dr. Rhodes’ dental team in 2003, I brought with me more than 30 years of experience in the dental field. I was born in Lorain, Ohio but lived 26 years in Bonita Springs, Florida. Five years ago, I moved to Washington to be closer to family. The quiet country life is something I greatly enjoy. Some of my hobbies include gardening, pulling weeds and raising guineas. I am proud to be working in our lovely, “state of the art” practice with great people that make me feel like family.

Vicki Swinson--Dental Assistant

Originally from Key West, Florida, Vicki move to NC with her husband Jim in 1988. They have a 17 year old son, Jake, a senior at Southside High School. Vicki has over 20 years of dental experience. Inher off time, along with her husband, she enjoys performing environmental/educational concerts in elementary school assemblies. Vicki keeps us
supplied with wonderful baked goods. She is the newest member of our team.
