Feel like you’re just too seasoned to have metal braces but really want to fix the issues with your smile? Are your kids too embarrassed to wear braces but you know their teeth need correcting? With today’s technology, there is another option to transform your teeth to get that beautiful smile without involving metal braces. Dr. Angie S. Rhodes, serving Eastern North Carolina and the Greenville area, offers Invisalign, a series of custom-made clear and removable aligners designed to improve your bite and alignment as another option in place of traditional braces.

Why Choose Invisalign?

Clear: The aligners are virtually invisible to others.

Removable: The aligners are removable for eating, brushing and flossing . You can eat and drink what you want, when you want, and won’t have to change your daily oral hygiene routine.

Comfortable: The aligners are comfortable because they fit snugly over your teeth without the inconvenience of brackets and wires.

Can my Condition be Treated with Invisalign?

Invisalign treats most conditions that traditional braces would correct, such as:

  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Overly crowded teeth

Shifting Teeth for patients who previously went through orthodontic treatment with

braces. In the very rare occasion that a patient is not a good candidate for Invisalign we will refer the patient to an orthodontist for an alternate treatment.

How does it work?

First, you will come into our office for a complimentary initial consultation where we will assess if you are good candidate for Invisalign. Next you will return to our office for us to take impressions and photographs of your teeth. From there Dr. Rhodes will decide on a treatment plan and send the impressions off to Align Technology to create your custom series of aligners. The aligners are made of smooth, BPA-free plastic and won’t bother your sensitive oral tissue as metal brackets and wires tend to do when your first get braces.

Once the aligners come in you will wear each set for approximately two weeks before switching to the next series of aligners. Each week your teeth your teeth will become straighter, millimeter by millimeter. You should wear the aligners every day and only remove them when eating, or brushing and flossing your teeth.

Dr. Rhodes has offered Invisalign in her practice since 2007, and is proud to hold the designation as a preferred provider. She is also a proud 2017 Invisalign Premier Provider.
